All is not well between filmmaker Karan Johar and actor Siddharth of Rang De Basanti fame. Something that started off as a friendly banter turned into something ugly with the duo exchanging heated words on a socio-micro blogging site.
It all started when a fan of Siddharth posted on Twitter - “You look so much like Karan Johar!” The actor then sparked the fire by replying that his fan needed spectacles. Karan, who is active on socio-micro blogging site, retorted and tweeted, “Didn't know I looked that bad Sid! Apologies!” Siddharth then tried to add humour to his comment by saying, "Ha! Ha! Of course you don't. Welcome back Karan." But the harm was already done, and Karan kept away from the site.
On learning that the director has not taken his comments lightly, he tried to make peace with him and apologized by writing, “Karan Johar is a very genuine, respectable filmmaker who I am very fond of and have enjoyed meeting and knowing. He has always been a very helpful senior and friend. If a silly, unintended joke goes awry, let me just say I had absolutely no intent to hurt Karan or his many admirers. That's all there is to be said! No more comments! Peace!..”
Well, we hope this is just a friendly banter. After all, Karan is known for being a jolly man!
